“The Singapore Slingers” – Dallas’ Own Fox Trot Orchestra!

This is one of the most unique musical acts in the area. Specializing in the music of the mid 1920s through the mid 1930s, the Slingers’ music is akin to that of Paul Whiteman, Ted Weems, and The California Ramblers. Their repertoire includes one-steps, two-steps, waltzes, rhumbas, pasa doble, marches and, of course, fox trots (oriental and straight up). You’ll hear great songs like Lena From Palesteena, The Sheik of Araby, Bo-La-Bo, Rebecca Came Back From Mecca, and Old King Tut. Their music is upbeat, energetic and – most importantly – fun! Every age will enjoy it.

“D.C. Anderson, Teresa Tudury and Roy Zimmerman – In Concert!”

D.C. Anderson has toured extensively throughout the US and Canada this past 20 years with The Phantom Of The Opera as an actor/singer. He’s on tour in Dallas this week, and he’s hooked up with a couple of friends and fellow entertainers to do a show for us. His two pals and also immensely talented performers are:

Teresa Tudury started writing songs at age 12 and was performing in San Francisco nightclubs by the time she was 15. With a deep, sultry voice that magnetizes audiences, and a scathing comedic wit to match, Teresa sings with power, verve, passion, and disarming humor, and her vocal stylings are perfectly complemented by her bluesy guitar playing.

Roy Zimmerman, Songster/Satirist, who, says The Los Angeles Times, “displays a lacerating wit and keen awareness of society's foibles that bring to mind a latter-day Tom Lehrer." And Tom Lehrer himself says, "I congratulate Roy Zimmerman on reintroducing literacy to comedy songs. And the rhymes actually rhyme, they don't just 'rhyne.’”

But don’t just take our word for it. Check them out. They’re terrific.

Everybody’s Irish on St. Paddy’s day, so you really don’t want to miss it.

Formed in 1957, “The Big Beats” were the first ’50s Rock & Roll Band to sign with Columbia Records, and became an instant hit with an appearance on Dick Clark’s American Band Stand. The five-piece band toured successfully for more than twenty years. The five artists appearing in this show are C.W. Kendall, Jr., Bobby Rambo, Earl Slocumb, Billy Mitchell, and Larry Randall.
