Buster and one of his daughters on her wedding day.

Olav went by 'Buster'. He enjoyed telling tall tales to amuse his family. He would say one of his grandmothers was a Cherokee indian...one ancestor was jewish...he was born in San Francisco & his birth certificate was destroyed in the earthquake...

He also said (possibly seriously) one of his grandmothers was French. He also said he had to get up early in the morning to take care of the horses because they couldn't take care of themselves.

And he said that his sister, Dagmar, died with a pellet or bullet in her arm. As children they went to a cabin in the mountains or such and by accident she was shot in the arm. For fear of trouble, probably from their father, it was covered up and Dagmar never told anyone about it.
