Other info on Anna Halvorsen

information on Anna Halvrosen is a bit scarce...however little bits have been remembered by various family members. That info is noted here... hopefully to be verified someday!

Adrian Hughes' info (told to him by Johanna Weckhorst Anker(?)): Johanna's mother was "Anna K. Skordal" born in Holden, Ulefos, Norway. She was the daughter of Halvor Olsen Skordal & Andrea Johnsen. See also Adrian Hughes' information.

Note: "Skordal" is most probably "americanised" spelling of the Norwegian name "Skårdal" (the pronunciation of the two versions are identical). There is no "Holden" in the vicinity of Ulefos. There is a "Holla" in the neighboring parish of Solum.

Rigmor Tallaksen's info (told to Henry Weckhorst) : Rigmor called her Anna Skårdal Halvorsen. Rigmor was not quite sure if Skårdal was part of the name, but had been told that her father was Halvor Skårdal from Lunde, close to Ulefoss. She also said that Anna's first name might be Anne.
