BIG APOLOGY!!!!!! I am very late with the newsletter--my excuse is that school started--on BOTH sides of Labor Day (wacky local schedules) and life has been nuts. However, you have all been too polite to complain, and I will catch up! Here goes:
We have lost track of Ken Muldrew kmuldrew@ciaobaby.mccaig.ucalgary.ca. U of Calgary c/o consult@ucalgary.ca...and Joseph Guyton guyton@one.net. If anyone has an alternate way of contacting these folks, please let them know we would be happy to forward newsletters to whereever they might be....and another reminder...for most of you I have only an email address. If you want to make sure I never neglect you, you may wish to send me a snail mail address. Up to you....
On page 2, Bob Manning gives us some much needed thoughts on Margert Frierson Bradley & Dr. Robert Muldrow. Bob also sent a few other items which appear on page 3. These (separately) pertain to Agnes Isabelle Muldrow and Warren Muldrow. (I also snuck a couple deed references to John2 Muldrow of KY onto page 3)
Else: Oh those early Kentucky Muldroughs! We have long known that Andrew Muldrough died in 1759 leaving widow Jean and two sons, John and Hugh. It has been confusing trying to place 2 odd references to a "William Muldrough" and many references to "Col. Andrew Muldrough" (who died in 1829). Page 4 reviews the various references to Andrew and compares them against the only known reference of a 'William' before 1750. This is Round 1: Andrew vs. William.
Round 2: John vs. William on pages 5-6 continues the comparisons...this time eliminating the William refered to in a book of Kentucky rememberances. While the name William was probably attached to John and his father, Andrew, somehow (John William Muldrough? Andrew William Muldrough? Or perhaps Col. Billy so outshown his father John and grandfather Andrew in fame that his name got imposed?), there is NO evidence to a separate person named William contemporary with either Andrew or his sons. Now since I was the only one who originally thought there might be I don't think anyone else will object to William's elimination.
WISH LIST: We know these wills exist, but no copies are in my local library. Anyone seen them?
