John is a son of John McMuldrough (Sr.), but we have not been able to confirm this.

John Muldrough appears in the 1790 Federal Census in Sumter Co, South Carolina. His father, John, also appears in the 1790 Census so it is unclear which John is which althought tradition states that most of the children of John Sr dropped the Mc from McMuldrough. If so, then John Muldrough in 1790 would be the son.
Family tradition holds that his wife Mary (listed in his will) was Mary Ellison. Their son Matthew Ellison Muldrow is some testament to this. They had two other sons, Robert and Simon and two daughters, Agnes and Mary (also listed in John's will). will fill more when I get organized...
