Dennis, Bishopville, S.C., March 16, 1917, from an old paper given him by his father, Dr. Robert Ellison Dennis, as prepared by his father's uncle, John Ellison Muldrow: Eli McFadden intermarried with Susanna Amelia Nelson May 21st, 1806. Issue as follows: A daughter born April 4th 1807, died 21st same month A son born (dead) May 25th 1808 Theodore Campbell born May 27th, 1809, died 17 Feby. 1835 A son born (dead) November 15th, 1810 Thomas Reese born April 10th, 1812 Sarah Ann born Dec. 17th, 1813 Eli Nelson born May 20, 1816. Eli McFadden died Friday afternoon, June 7, 1816, aged 30 years and 3 months. Susanna A. McFadden intermarried with the Rev. John Covert, dec. 4, 1818. Mr. Covert died Sept. 28th 1822 and is interred in the old church yard in Williamsburg District. Their daughter, Laura was born Sept. 4th 1819. Sarah Ann McFadden intermarried with the Rev. John McEwen on Wednesday 14th, April 1830. He died 31st May 1833. Elizabeth McFadden intermarried with Robert Witherspoon Jany. 21st 1808. Their issue as follows: A daughter born Jany. 16th 1809 who lived but 6 hours. A son born (dead) April 21st 1811 Sarah Ann born Nov. 20th 1812 Elizabeth Mary born Aug. 13th 1814, who died Oct 3rd 1815 A son born (dead) Feby. 16th 1816 Thomas McFadden born Dec. 26th 1817 Elizabeth Heatby born May 16th 1819, died Aug 22nd 1820 A son born Dec 12th 1822 (dead) Hamilton Gaillard born Nov 3, 1824 A son born (dead) Jany. 31st 1827 Sarah Ann McFadden intermarried with John J. Knox, Oc. ------ (indistinct) Mary W. McFadden intermarried with Dr. John J. Muldrow May 24th, 1810. Their issue as follows: Thomas McFadden born Nov. 25th, 1811, died Aug 27th 1812 William Elison born Dec 4th, 1812, died Aug 17th 1820 Elizabeth Adeline born May 4th 1814 Lawrence Reese born Feby. 24th 1816, died Sept. 1st 1820 Robert Eli born Jun. 1st 1817 Thomas McFadden, born Jany. 4th, 1820 John Elison born Feby. 12th 1823 Dr. John J. Muldrow died Sabbath, 27th. August 1823, aged 36 years Elizabeth Adeline intermarried with Dr. John E. Dennis Feb. 4th, 1829. Margaret Adeline McFadden intermarried with the Rev. Robert W. James, Jay. 29th 1820. Their issue: Sarah McFadden born April 18th, 1822 A daughter born (dead) Aug 25th 1823 John Jay born April 17th 1825 Mary Elizabeth born Dec 16th 1827 A son born (dead) Nov 1829 Margaret A. James died Nov 19th 1829 (Note: A notarized copy of the above record was obtained by Rebecca A. Dennis, sister to Robert E. Dennis, in her advanced years, during 1956, from Bishopville, S.C., and same was used in an application to prove descent from Thomas McFadden, Revolutionary Soldier, and was accepted).
