Looking for Edward McManus.

He was not very tall, had a wonderful voice, always the joker, was in the Army that looked after the maintenance of railways and buildings during the War. Once the War was over went back to Ireland we think probably in the area of County Fermanagh, as he already had a family there, we think he may have had a daughter. When he lived with my husband's mother they were based in WestHam. The years were between 1944 and 1945.

We are looking for any known relatives of Edward McManus, shortish, lovely smile, cheeky with a lovely voice went to England in 1945 where he met a lovely lady called Winifred Lowndes/nee Bullock (Westham Area), they fell in love and before he left to go back to Ireland Winifred had a boy and called him Anthony John (my husband). Winifred would never talk about Edward as having a child out of Wed-lock was quite the done thing in those days. Anthony has never been able to fill the gap in his life, he could have family out there that he knows nothing about. His age if he is still alive would possibly be between 75yrs and 83yrs. He came from Ireland and more than likely County Fermanagh. After seeing a Clairvoyant she told us that Edward McManus was in Uniform during the war and that my husband also had a half-sister, that does help.
