I am looking for the Anna & Elijah Manis listed on 1850 census in Hawkins Co. There is another Elijah Mnness in Hawkins TN. Daniel Yance MAnis born Oct 1840. His wife was Sarah Ellen Fawbush of Hawkins TN born Jan 4 1867 married Daniel Yance MAness Dec 24 1882 Hawkins TN: in one of the family's Bible listed his father as Elijah Maness & Anna Christian. Our line is Line is the Richard Manis line in Anson Co NC & Hawkins TN.

Looking for parents of Martin M. Manes/Manies/Manus (often M.M.Manes) who was born in TN in 1852 of a TN father and a NC mother, but I can't find him in the 1860 census by Sistler and can't find a TN father and NC mother in the 1850 census. By 1875 he was buying land in Greene County, ARK; in 1880, he was in Friendship Township, Greene County ARK and had a wife Nancy E. born TN and a son Thomas b 1879 in ARK.
Thomas' full name was Marion Thomas Manes and he married Mary Alice Barnett in 1901 in Greene County.
