Source reference is recorded upon which the connection between 
Phinehas FISH of Dutchess Co., NY and Samuel FISH of
Falmouth is based.  I have not viewed the proof myself but hopefully there
are others who are also aware of it's existance.  This line of the FISH
family is traced back to either John or Nathaniel, two of the 3 immigrant
FISH brothers.  Last information I had in 1995, it still had not been
conclusively proven but it appeared Nathaniel was probably the correct
ancestor.

             "...that I Simeon Fish of Sandwich...do sell...a certain 
              dwelling house which did stand in the town of Falmouth
              ...which was the dwelling house of Samuel Fish late of
              sd Falmouth deceased and which house at the time of
              removal...was the property of Phinehas Fish son of sd
              Samuel and from whom I have a legal power of attorney
              to sell said house...this twenty___day of July, one 
              thousand seven hundred and eighty-two." 
             (Simeon Fish was married Phinehas's sister Mary.)
