NY FISH: Andrew Fish #131

Speculation about Andrew Fish (Lester's #131):

I believe he married Sarah Ireland and had a daughter name Sarah Elizabeth Fish.
  This Sarah Elizabeth Fish married William W. Stewart.

I got this from John Austin, the Warren County, NY historian concerning the murder of this Andrew
 fish:
Richard Fuller, prob. son of Benjamin Fuller of Queensbury; Richard was 
 at Queensbury in 1820 (200010/99199); placed as son of Benjamin because he res.
 in same neighborhood as other children; his home was near Job Beadleston in North 
Queensbury; Richard was indicted for murder of Andrew Fish 15 March 1823; he was 
tried in July of that year, witnesses for his defense included both Aller Fuller 
and Edward Fuller, known to be sons of Benjamin; Richard was found guilty of manslaughter
 and not guilty of murder, sentenced to fourteen years at hard labor in State Prison, New
 York City; he d. soon after release from prison.



From Pittsfield Sun of 29 May 1823:  MURDER-On the 1st inst. a man of temperate habits, 
in Queensbury, Warren county N. Y., took his gun and deliberately shot at and killed one
 of his neighbors, who had shortly before, interfered in some quarrel between him and his wife.

Here is what I have on Fish:

           Andrew Fish was listed at Queensbury in 1820 (310010/20010/02).
 His wife may possibly be Rebecca Winchip, dau. of Joel, called widow Rebecca
 Fish of Queensbury in Joel Winchip's 1831 will.  Andrew Fish was killed by Richard
 Fuller in the Harrisena section of Queensbury in 1823.


     Benjamin Fish, non-resident, was listed on the 1805 Queensbury assessment roll.

         Rensselaer Fish b. c. 1800-03; of Westfield MA; he was listed at Queensbury
 in 1830 ("Renssellaer" 20001/01001).  He m. Minerva Granger, b. Westfield MA c. 1807
 to John Martin and Sarah (Griffin) Granger.  He res. Butler, Winnebago Co. IL in 1850.
  Children:
         i  Sarah  b. c. 1833.
        ii  Franklin  b. c. 1836.
       iii  James  b. c. 1838.
       iv  Charles  b. OH c. 1846.

I believe this Rensselaer Fish was also a child of Andrew Fish
