blacksmith, married Sarah Fish, dau. of Dr. Aaron and Irene
(Sprague) Fish of Stonington and Groton, is proved by a quitclaim
deed to Samuel Fish releasing their title to land in Stonington which
belonged to her honored father, Aaron Fish, deceased (Stonington Deeds 6:436)

1853 SPRAGUE7 FISH, who may have been a son of (1780) Asahel and Esther
(Billings) Fish, and grandson od Aaron and Irene Sprague Fish, w. b.
Mar.10, 1768, at Groton, Conn. He m. June 16, 1789, Abigail (Nabby)
Park. He was a cooper; sailed in a trader to the West Indies, and was
there drowned while attempting to land.
Children:
1870 Park8, who married Abigail Packer Nov 17, 1811, and was lost in
Christmas storm of 1811. She was b. Aug. 10, 1773. She m. (2)
Oliver Dewey, and (3) Elisha Lyman, a Rev. soldier and a fine
man. (He stood within three feet of him when the spy, Major
Andre, was hanged).
1871 Sprague,b. at Groton, Mar.10,1790, and followed his father's
trade of whaler. He m. Betsey (Perkins) Adams, and had at least
three sons (all of New London, and b. about 1840, all captains of
whalers): (1873) Captain Asa9, (1874) Captain Coddington; and
(1875) Captain Gilbert (or George).
1872 Coddington, who settled in Vermont.
