Colo., where he had gone for his health.
484 LIEUT. THOMAS ELISHA9 FISH (Benjamin8, Elisha7, Benjamin6,
Preserved5, Thomas4, Thomas3, Alice2, John1), son of (475)
Bejamin and Sarah (Bills) Fish, was b. Nov. 26, 1833, at Rochester,
N.Y. In 1861 he enlisted in the Duryea Zouaves, 5th N.Y.
Regt.; took part in the following engagements: Big Bethel,
Yorktown, Gaines Mills, Sheperdstown Ford, Fredericksburg
and Chancellorsville, was mustered out as a First Lieut. On
Dec. 24, 1868, he m. in New York City, Isabella Douglas Marsh,
dau. of Joseph Young and Isabella Douglas (Vanderpool) Marsh.
After the war he was employed as a compositor, and lived in
ROchester, Buffalo, Chicago, Memphis, Tenn., New York City
and Minneapolis, Minn., where he died at the age of 37. One
son: (487) Charles Thomas10, b. Jan. 16, 1870; m. Oct. 29, 1895,
Sarah Letitia Scott; lived in New York City.
