3283 HOWARD EDWARD FISH (William E., William C.), only
son of William Edward and Jessie M. (Foreman) Fish, was b. in
Chicago, Feb. 13, 1902. He attended Lakeview and Loyola High
Schools, Chicago, and studied structural design and Chicago Technical
College. Moved to Beverly Hills, Calif., and entered the
real estate business. Entered the army in Sept. 1942.

3286 COLONEL LEWIS J. DUPREEE, D.D.S., was b. Jan 23,
1892, in Wake Co., No. CAr., son of Lewis Henry Dupree (b.
about 1859) and Annie E. Fish (b. in Nov. 1860), who were married
about 1880, and had ten children (Dupree): Nathan Ira,
Hurley, Col. Lewis J., and Arlington; and Nellie, Tabitha, Ida,
Eugenia, Manila and Spicy. Annie's father was Joseph Fish, a

farmer, who m. about 1850 Angeline Stokes, and had ten children:
Charles, Joseph, Jr., and Jefferson, and seven daughters including
Annie E. Joseph's father was Monroe James Fish, b. 1785, one of
five sons (all b. in Wake Co.) of William and ______ (Clarke) Fish
who came from Virginia in 1780. He m. twice; it is thought that
he two sons, Alexander and Joseph, were by the second wife.
Alexander Fish had six sons: Alexander, Ruffus, Jeams [sic], Mark,
Joseph and Daniel.
Lewis J. Dupree grad. from Atlanta Southern Dental College
1918, and practiced dentistry in Kinston [sic], NO. CAr., for twenty
years. He served one year in the first World War; commissioned
1st Lieut. in Feb 1919. He was recalled tot he army June 1, 1941;
promoted to Lieut. Col. Oct 19, 1942. He m. Dec 19, 1918, Mae
Stephenson of Fuquay Springs, No. Car.
3287 Lewis J. Dupree, Jr. b. Jan 14, 1921. Grad. Univ of No. Car.,
and a student at Atlanta Southern Dental College
3288 Steva Mae Dupree, b. May 8, 1925. A student at Mars Hill College,
Mars Hill, No. Car.

3289 NATHAN FISH, b. Mar 10, 1779, settled in Georgia. The
well known jurist, Judge William Hansel Fish, may have descended
from him.
