Whelen's Company, Col. Benj. Simonds' Detachment of Berkshire
Militia.  At Ticonderoga, NY, Dec 16,1776.  78 days
service.  Sick in Camp.  His brother David was in the same
company.  On Mar. 16, 1764, he was m. to Lillis Mason by Elder
Russell Mason.

751 BENJAMIN6 FISH (Daniel5, John4, Thomas3, Alice2, John1),
farmer, Rev. War veteran, son of (582) Daniel and Mary (Tallman)
Fish, was b. Oct. 4, 1739, at Portsmouth, R.I.; m.
Aug. 16, 1764, Keziah Round of Rehoboth, Mass.  He was a
private in Capt. James Briggs' Co., Col. Freeman's Regt.;
Marched Oct. 2, 1777, from Dighton on a secret expedition to
Rhode Island.
  It is supposed that he owned a farm in New Ashford, Mass.,
and that his father, Daniel5, died there while on a visit.  According
to the census of 1790 Benjamin was living in Rehoboth, but
he could have moved there from New Ashford following the
death of his father.  However, the author has found no record of
him in New Ashford, nor of the death of Daniel5 there, though
his son Isaac6 did live there and was there in 1790.

752 WILLIAM6 FISH (Daniel5, John4, Thomas3, Alice2, John1),
son of (582) Daniel and Mary (Tallman) Fish, was b. Sep 9,
1742; d. 1817; m. Hannah ________.  His daughters were: (810)
Elizabeth7, (811) Ruth, (812) Lucy, (813) Sally; and his sons
were: (814) Nathan7, (815) Allen, (816) William, (817) Samuel,
(818) Stephen, (819) Levi, and (820) Elijah.
  ALLEN7 FISH m. Sally _______, lived at Cheshire, Mass.
Children: (815a) Preserved8, (815b) Polly, who m. Sanford
Rider; (815c) Sarah ann (1811-1900), who m. (822a) Jonas
Warren8 Fish (below) (1807-69), son of (822) Calvin; (815d)
Jane; and (815e) George.

753 JONATHAN6 FISH (Daniel5, John4, Thomas3, Alice2, John1),
son of (582) Daniel and Mary (Tallman) Fish, was b. Sep 12,
1757; d.1841; with his brother George, was a private in Capt.
Peleg Peck's Company, Col. Geo. Williams' Regt.  Enlisted
Sep 29, 1777, and was discharged Oct 30, 1777.  Service one
month, one day, under Maj. Gen. Spencer on a secret expedition.
Stationed at Tiverton, NY.  Roll sworn to at Swanzey, Mass.
In 1832 he was placed on the Pension Roll of Ellisburg, Jefferson,
NY, for his service in the Rhode Island Militia.  On Nov 14,
1781, he may have m. Lillis Mason, of Lanesboro, Mass., possibly
his brother's widow.

822 CALVIN7 FISH (Jonathan6, Daniel5, Robert4, Thomas3, 
Alice2, John1), son of (758) Jonathan and Lillis (Mason) Fish,
was b. July 14, 1786, at New Ashford, Mass.; d. at Ellisburg,
NY, 1845.  In 1806 he m. Betsey Warren (1786-1841), and
had (822a) Jonas Warren8 (1807-69), who m. in 1832 (815c)
Sarah Ann8 Fish (Allen7, William6, Daniel5, Robert4, Thomas3, 
Alice2, John1), and had (822b) George Boardman9, b. at Ellis-
birg in 1837.  In 1866 George m. Mary E. Hunt (1846-71), and 
had (822c) Mary L.10 Fish (D.A.R. #126302), b. in Jefferson
Co, NY, m. __________ Elderkin.

583 DAVID5 FISH (Robert4, Thomas3,  Alice2, John1), blacksmith,
youngest son of (100) Robert and Mary (Hall) Fish, was b. Mar.
10, 1709/10. at Portsmouth, R.I.  On Apr. 16, 1730, he m. Jemima
Tallman, dau. of James and Hannah (Swain) Tallman, at
Portsmouth. She d. in Feb. 1780.
