..Larry and Donna Keeler of Phoenix, Arizona, or as they put it, "Dante's Inferno" This photo is their '85 GoldWing Interstate -- known as "True Blue."
..This 1982 GL-1100 was found in a barn in Hillsboro, Ohio after a bout with misuse & abuse.
Here she stands in all her glory after 2 years of lovin, not to mention a
whole lot of work. Says the proud owner, Mike Jewell of Miamisburg, Ohio "I wish I had taken a "before" photo. My cousin Rick Jewell of Beattyville, Ky. has adopted the bike, but I'm still awful proud." As well you should be Mike!
..Says Santa, "Say I just stumbled on your sight. It's great just started riding again. Enclose is a shot of my 83 wing I ride with a grope of DFW Freedom Riders When possible. Yelp they are a bunch of young kids, but at 68years-young I feel great with them."
..From Göran Ljunggren in Jönköping, Sweden come a couple of nice shotes of his GoldWing 1200 Interstate 1984. The bike was imported from Canada in 1991.
..Here are a couple of pictures Di and Paul who live in the UK in a town called Sheffield. They reluctantly gave up "Black Knight" their first wing, for a newer 1500. Paul says he would have loved to have kept both, ah well!
.. Well, here he is in all his radiant glory ... the one and only George "Pappy" Mandry and his MUCH better half Pat "School Marm". Here's the happy couple with Silver, their scooter that came to be as a really fine gesture by a bunch of folks from all over who hated to see the big red head without a ride, but that's a whole 'nother story. They've just moved on to a 99 1500 SE. Nice new ride, but it's RED of all colors! There is no accounting for taste.
.. Here's Jeff Snodgrass with his 83 Interstate before he sold it. Says Jeff ... "I am currently
"wingless", but thought I would send you a picture of my last 'wing, an
86 Interstate. I had to sell her in '95 (Went into business for myself
and became "self-unemployed"), but recently found her and am working
on buying her back." Good luck Jeff.
.. You won't see many paint schemes like Dale Brink has on his 98 SE. It's one of those tricky, eye catching trick paints from DuPont that changes colors depending on the light. Believe it or not, these pictures are all of the same scooter. You can find Dale and Reathal roaming the Ozarks on this beauty.
.. Scott Whitehead of Minnesota just had to share his new scoot, "The Lady In Red" ... 1998 Aspencade, with me. Scott was stationed just south of me and I got to meet him and his other ride, a great looking 83 Aspencade ... well, past tense. When it was shipped back to Minn., it didn't fair to well in the moving truck. But, all's well that ends well Scott.
.. Another good old Texas Boy ... Dennis Ely and his ValkHe's added some pin striping since this picture was taken, which makes it look even better. Nice one Dennis! .. Here's John Garner, mounted on "Bald Eagle ... replete with floppy hat!And here are some great shots of the pinstriping detail on John's scooter. Nice one John! .. .. Mike and Claudia Freeman of Birmingham, Alabama enjoy the road on (and in) their '93 Aspencade and Hannigan Astro GT sidecar. You'll find them riding with GWRRA Chapter ALV
.. .. What can you say about a guy with such outstanding taste? I mean, a Pearl BLACK 97 Wing and matching Bushtec Genesis trailer to round out the picture! Gary Gaither of Kokomo, IN says that he, his wife Ingrid and their son Devon enjoy touring Indiana or wherever the roads may lead.
.. Here's another good old Texas boy ... Johnny Moreno and his Candy Red 95 SE. Johnny's from Gatesville, TX. .. Here's John Garner from Branchburg, New Jersey. John says "Iride a '95 Pearl White (sorry!) SE. My wife is a co rider, as we have taken a 2 Up ERC, so she knows that motorcycles can swerve. I ride all year long, doing the AMA District 2 Polar Bear event in the fall and winter. Sharon, my wife, prefers the milder weather. I chose white, as it is a blank canvass, but I cannot decide on what detailing/pin stripes to add. Other items, such as Progressives, floorboards, Simpro light, air horns and the SES were no problem!I'm in the Gold Book in the event anyone gets lost in this part of the USA." .. .. ALOHA! These poor souls (Lonnie and Lori) send their greetings from Hawaii and would you believe they're complaining! Seems it's a beautiful place to ride but only 98 miles around. Says Lonnie; "I'd kind of like to ride in a straight line for a change of pace". I'm sure there are more than a few folks that would gladly change places for a couple of weeks! Here is their much loved 92 "EHU KULA" (Goldwing in early Hawaiian).
.. This guys always picking on me because I ride a BLACK bike. If you're on the Gold Wing Discussion List, you know what I mean. Anyway, here is Randy Sarvis from Ft. Pierre, SD and what he calls " The two favorite women in his life". (you'll notice his arm around Nita ... guess she edged out the RED thing behind them).
.... .. Here's a shot of Stacey (aka.Piglet)and Greg Littlefield (aka.Gmoney) with their 96' Pearl SE (aka.Powder) and the tag along.. (aka.Puff). Piglet and Gmoney ride with GWRRA Chapter "G" in Tomball, Texas. Nice set up!
....![]() .. From Brandon, Mississippi come Ken & Betty Tarver and their '97 Aspencade they got in May of 97. Aside from a great looking scooter (First Picture), Betty has a great paint job on her helmet (Picture 2)..... .. Panarama cameras are neat. Check out this great shot of the "God's Country Touring Club" sent to me by J. Kendall Benzing.... .. Here are three guys that really require no introduction .... that is if you are on the Gold Wing Discussion List! From left to right ... Jack West, Bill Allison, and Conrad Drury (Dru) ... headed out of Louisiana on their way to Wing Ding. (Can you guess which one is a practicing lawyer?)... .. From GWRRA Chapter M2 in Spring, Texas comes these shots of Mike Watson's 96 SE and matching Escapade Trailer. The first is of Mike and his scooter and trailer. Mike shot the second at, as he puts it, "my favorite place in the USA ... the Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridege Parkway mile post 176 in Virginia." .. Shutters were snapping at Wing Ding in Billings in 97. Here's a shot of Carroll Walker from Lake Forest, CA that was sent to me by Earl Scherzinger. Earl was camped at the Billings KOA and took pictures of all the WOTI riders that showed up. .. Speaking of Wing Ding 97 in Billings ..... here is a fantastic shot of one of the Drill Teams in action taken by Mike Biebrich. WARNING: Don't try this at home kids!!!
.. Here's my good friend Bill Jermyn with his lovely wife Judy and their (a'hum)Yamaha. Bill said this was taken at the start of the "Eastern H-D Dealer's Assn." Fall Foliage Rally. Behind Judy is Jim Martin's '94 Aspencade and in the left backgruond is Bill's good friend Dave Whiting.
.... Here's a couple of great picture of the 94 SE belonging to J. Kendall Benzing from Monona, Iowa. J. Kendall says "I live in NE
Iowa, really a nice part of the country to ride motorcycle. We have a
touring club in this part of the state called "God's Country Touring Club".
Members are from NE Iowa, SW Wisconsin and NW Illinois. We have one ride
a month from April to October, an annual meeting in November to set up
rides for the next year and a Christmas party, usually in January.
For those of you that frequent the Wings On The Internet, you will be familiar with this guy ... Meet Bill and Nancye Allison at appropriatly enough, Allison Pass. Since this was taken by Duane Knodel after Wing Ding and on their ride through the Canadian Rockies, I assume that's where they are. Here is David & Kitty Eib's 90
Aspencade. Dave and Kitty are from Clarksville, IN and say they're getting a little over 20k a year and hope to see you all down the road somewhere...... ... ... ...![]() Submitted for your approval .... Bob Chapman's "Gambler" ... Winging is truly international. Here's David Barker from Australia who says "I am a fellow Wing rider having just purchased a new White 97 GL1500 SE
in April. It is winter downunder at the moment, so Wendy and I are
waiting for spring before taking a few longer trips. We live in
Parramatta, which is the geographical centre of Sydney. Only an hour
from the Blue Mountains or the Pacific coast, depending upon our mood.
We are planning our trip to Western Australia in March 1998 to attend
the Ulysses Club AGM. This year it was in Wagga Wagga (I know, but some
of your yank names sound funny to us Aussies as well!!) and
approximately 2500+ bikes turned up to live up it the clubs motto to
"Grow Old Disgracefully".
Before the Wing I was a BMW rider and traded in a K1100 LT/SE for our
beautiful new bike." Great looking scooter David!
Here's a shot Dick Cain sent along. I figure this boy from Goose Creek, SC. either has a real need for fresh beef or fresh dairy products.
But, on a lighter note, here are some other great shots Dick and his lovely bride Betty (newlyweds - Oct '95) and owners
of this great looking Black 86 Interstate sent along:
Here's Mike Barchers' 1985 Limited Addition FI. Mike has won numerous shows with this beauty at a number of state and region levels, as well as most local shows. When he is not cleaning on this one, he can be found riding with Texas Chapter "R" on his Magenta 95 SE. Johnny Bell's 85 Wing.
Thomas Ongstad's great looking 93 teal SE. Also in the picture is our trailer, a 95 Hannigan. Thomas is from Michigan and has belonged to GWTA since 1992. He also just added a 95 ACE to his stable this year and says he is having a "gas" with it.
Here's something you don't see every day. Animal, the builder and owner of "Zomby
Woof", has the following to say about this beauty: "Woof does the honors of toting all four of us to lots of
events, shows, etc. It is a totally custom unit, all built by me. The powertrain is a high-output Chevy 2.8L V6 coupled up to a Pontiac Fiero transaxle with Macpherson struts, disc brakes, independent suspension. The body is fiberglass with seating for four. My wife and I sit on a Softail style seat and the boys sit behind and to the sides of her on a small speedboat-type seat. The front end is HD FXWG. The brake master cyl. is Wilwood, from a sprint car. Auto Meter guages & 160 mph speedo are frenched into the fake gas tank/dash.It's fun, cute, and FAST. (approx. 170 HP & 1700 lbs.) 0-60 in a block."Earl Scherzinger is a regular on the Wings Discussion List. Here's some pictures Earl sent of his scooter ... She's a beauty....
Looks like Kyle McGary has had Chris Chruz busy again. Here's Kyle's ride now that he's parted with "Red Cloud" ... his first Chris beauty.
Here are a couple of pictures sent to me by Wes St. Onge from Maryland, NY. His bike is an 89 Pacific Coast. His passenger is a halloweenish character riding on a wooden rack mounted on the back of the PC. Wes and his co-rider were riding in a local firemens parade. It certainly drew a lot of attention from large and small folks alike.
Here's a great picture sent to me by Mike & Marie Adkins of Fairview, Texas. You gotta love this Texas weather! The bike, as if anyone noticed, is a Magenta 96 SE. Some of Mike's previous rides have included a 1965 CB160, 1972 CB450, 1979 Goldwing, 1982 Aspencade, and the 1996 Goldwing 1500/SE.
Here's a nice picture of David Eib and his wife's 82 Interstate that they call "Attitude". They say they do most of their riding in southern Indiana and Kentucky, though they do manage to ride to the Baltimore area to visit their daughter and to rallys in Tn, Oh, and Wi. They rode 15K last year and are members of Chapter N2 in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Chapter CA1-N conducted its 8th annual motorcycle benefit ride in support
of the United States Marine Corps Reserve's "TOYS FOR TOTS" drive on
Sunday, December 10,1995. Here's old Santa himself, along with Mrs. Clause (Gary Walker, CA1N, Ride Chairman and his wife Victoria) along with their modern day sleigh (Gary's 90 GL1500)! Way to go Gary!
Here's a nice shot of Jimmy Upchurch's 92 GL1500. Jimmy lives in Mesquite, Texas and can be reached at jimmyup@unicomp.net. Here's a picture I received from David & Michelle Waller of Michelle with their 93 Teal GL-1500 SE. They are from Meriden, Ct. They own their own computer business, marketing Internet services, hardware, modems, cameras, sound cards, etc. (hey, maybe they would give us a homepage discount??) You can contact them at dwaller@newengland.net if you like. Give them a shout if you are going to be in their area. They would love to hear from you.
If you would like to be included here, just drop me a line and attach the image ...Or, just drop a line to say hello!
