Japanese Tea Garden
We left The Cliff House and drove into Golden Gate Park.  The drive through the park was slow and relaxing.  We had intended to take a walk through the park, seeing all the sights, but it was so huge and we had so little time before the get-together, that we found the California Academy of Sciences, parked our car, and walked over to the Japanese Tea Gardens across the parking lot.
The Tea Gardens were absolutely stunning, from the carefully manicured landscaping to the pagodas and koi pond.  We sat down at a table and ordered a pitcher of hot jasmine tea to keep us warm in the cool air.  Several pictures later, and after a stroll around the koi pond, it was time to get together for the meet, so we walked back across the plaza to the California Academy of Sciences.
