| We left The Cliff House and drove into Golden Gate Park. The drive through the park was slow and relaxing. We had intended to take a walk through the park, seeing all the sights, but it was so huge and we had so little time before the get-together, that we found the California Academy of Sciences, parked our car, and walked over to the Japanese Tea Gardens across the parking lot. |

The Tea Gardens were absolutely stunning, from the carefully manicured landscaping to the pagodas and koi pond. We sat down at a table and ordered a pitcher of hot jasmine tea to keep us warm in the cool air. Several pictures later, and after a stroll around the koi pond, it was time to get together for the meet, so we walked back across the plaza to the California Academy of Sciences. |
