These Dallas legends of the ’60s never fail to put on a terrific show – and their popularity proves it! Headliners for years at the old Levee Club, these guys are still in fine form – fresh and fun. Here is their last 2008 date:(But they’ll be back in ‘’09):

November 21 (Friday) – This is a weekend special for the Levees. Seating and food and beverage service is at 6:15; the show is at 7:30. It’s fine family entertainment, and the $18 tickets are worth every cent of it.

“The Big Beats” – Rockin’ Pioneers of the 50s return!

Still rockin’, after all these years! In one of their rare appearances, “The Big Beats,” who spent over twenty years high on the charts in the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, will perform on Tuesday, June 17, at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre.

Formed in 1957, “The Big Beats” were the first ’50s Rock & Roll Band to sign with Columbia Records, and became an instant hit with an appearance on Dick Clark’s American Band Stand. They became one of the favorite groups of their time, touring with such Super-Stars as Buddy Holly and The Crickets, Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, and Bobby Darin. The five-piece band toured successfully for more than twenty years. The five artists appearing in this show are C.W. Kendall, Jr., Bobby Rambo, Earl Slocumb, Billy Mitchell, and Larry Randall. Rock music lovers young and old will go wild over these rockin’ pioneers.

“Randall & Dakil”

Remember Rowan & Martin? Martin & Lewis? Heckle & Jeckle? Well, wait until you’re exposed to the Music and Comedy of “Randall & Dakil”. Larry Randall, “The Saxman,” has been described as a “marvelous musician,” “polished vocalist,” and “a heckuva lot of fun.” Floyd Dakil, responsible for the legendary Texas recording, “Dance, Franny, Dance,” was for years guitarist for the Louis Prima Band. His amazing vocal and instrumental impersonations range from Neil Diamond to Elvis, and from Segovia to Flatt and Scruggs. Put these two (and their band) on stage and anything can happen. And it usually does. Come see for yourself.

“Dallas Doo-Wop”

DOO-WOP, DOO-WAH..!

The return of this unique Dallas doo-wop vocal band, performing the most famous and popular Doo-Wop oldies tunes from the late Fifties and early Sixties.

The group’s trademark is to perform each tune – Doo-Wop classics such as In The Still Of The Night, So Fine, Blue Moon, Sixteen Candles, At The Hop, and many others – as closely to the original as possible. The Dallas Doo-Wop developed a reputation for classic vocal harmony in the original Doo-Wop style and perform in various venues in the Dallas area. Their appearances here last year have always delighted their sold-out audiences.

“The Light Crust Doughboys” – Grammy Award Winning Western Swing Legends!

The Doughboys have just been designated “American Masterpieces Touring Artists” for 2008 by the National Endowment for the Arts, so it’s going to cut into their Pocket Concert time next year. Better catch them while you can so you don’t have to take a trip out of town to see them. Here’s your last chance in 2008:
